Education

Youth act seeks to actively participate in the process of building an open and democratic society by providing the Albanian public with information on an array of educational opportunities inside or outside Albania. It also aspires to animate and advocate the integration process of the Albanian and international academic community.

 

Goals to achieve:

• introducing a particular approach to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of high school, undergraduate, graduate students, professionals in all areas and university staff;
• promote the integration process of the Albanian and international academic community;
• providing research and informing the Albanian public about the latest trends in national and international education;
• encouraging cooperation with educational institutions worldwide operating in the field of international education; encouraging cross-cultural and educational exchange of knowledge and experience;
• enhancing equal access for young people to high quality education and training;
• developing youth work and other non-formal learning opportunities;
• providing better links between formal education and non-formal learning;
• improving the transition between education and training and the labor market;
• exploring new funding opportunities;
• manage scholarship programs with partner universities abroad.

Training

The current unemployment of youth can be linked to not only the lack of available jobs, but also to a lack of training and a suitably educated youth workforce. For years, employers have complained about a lack of communication and managerial skill sets graduates from institutions of higher education have. Youth Act Center with it Platform will make training to the youth more available and accessible across all Albania.  There is a need for professional development beyond educational institutions and the options to provide these services have become increasingly diverse; reflecting the diverse paths people take on their way to gainful employment. Thus, professional development opportunities for youth should be varied and may include, but are not limited to: Higher education training, such as continuing education courses, vocational trainings and degree programs; Provide pre-service training and orientation for new staff services; In-service training provided by programs to current staff; Training seminars and resource centers; Local and national certification systems and programs; Local and national conferences; and Mentoring programs.

Goals to achieve:

• Creation of a network of all training center and service providers to foster collaboration and greater accessibility to trainings for youth;
• Creation of an awareness campaigns for training centers and services available to the youth and corporations;
• Training of trainers and employees and training centers by experts to ensure the highest quality of services provided to participants;
• Market research to see what skills are most in need and expand services provided.
